VINTAGE DRESS SALE WEATHERLY HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA CLUB MAY 24, 2013. This is a Vintage dress sale. They include wedding dresses, bridemaid dresses and childrens dresses. All dresses are new, never worn but old. They are great for drama clubs, preschool dress up boxes, halloween costumes or anyone that loves older styles. The wedding dresses are in perfect condition and can be altered to make them more stylish. Every dress is only $10.00!!!! The sale will take place on May 24th at the HS gym from 6-8 pm 

 

ANTHRACITE HERITAGE CONFERENCE 2013. June 1, 2013 8:30am-5:00pm. Located at McDadePark, Scranton PA. The conference presenter will discuss various areas of research now being undertaken and the possibilities for further regional studies.

 

FIRE AT THE FURNACE, Anthracite Heritage Museum, June 7th, 8:00pm-11pm. This community event will include an industrial arts preview show with the opportunity to purchase art, a professional performance iron pour by way of Green Foundry’s Bessemer Converter, live music by the highly acclaimed Coal Town Rounders, a selection of hors d’hoeuvres, beverages and more

 

Scranton’s 4th Annual Arts on Fire Festival will be held at the Iron Furnaces historic site on June 7th 11am-7pm & June 8th 11am-4pm.  The industrial arts festival will include an iron pour and industrial arts demonstrations.  Both days will include art and food vendors, and music.
